I try and idle in there as much as I can. Friday and saturday nights used to be the big thing, but if people don't wait around for others to show up, no one talks.

The reason the IRC channel was a big hit, you were able to lurk continuously. Here, you get kicked for idling after a certain time period (which is completely understandable, bandwidth is money, yo) and it's hard to "catch" people in the channel.

 

For the record, there's a rockin' chat party going on right now.
