    Years and years ago, I remembered a Spanish-lessons-on-tape commercial where they give you easy ways to remember phrases. The lady said, "spell socks, and it means (something, something, something.) I asked my (now-ex) boyfriend who was fluent in Spanish what it meant, and he had no idea (and kind of treated me like I was dumb and had no idea what I was talking about.) I asked a Spanish speaking coworker what it meant, and he didn't know either.

    I just now learned, it's "eso si que es." And it basically means, "it is what it is." Or it can be used with an adjective to mean "that is really (blank.)" I FEEL VINDICATED, BITCHES.

    Um, yeah, ended up out with hubs and adopted bro enjoying baseball.

    It made me wonder how often my real bro remembers all the times I played catch with him, so he could master his slider and various changeups. Not that he ever actually did anything with them. Perhaps this is why I proved a valuable catcher on my intramural softball team.

    Felt like this posting clip showing America saving the world from terrorists just 'cause. The minor collateral damage was definitely worth the seven bad guys they took out.


    ......the classic "So ronery" clip ended up in the suggestion area somehow and lead to this one.

    Due to a shaving error, I have inadvertently gone from the Van Dyke (named after 17th century Baroque Flemish painter Anthony van Dyck) to the Balbo (named after the Italian Fascist Italo Balbo).

    I'm not sure how I feel about this.
