What video games are you currently playing?

i've just jumped into the new neverwinter f2p mmo the last couple days.

i like it so far. i'm very familiar with the lore from all my adventuring growing up in tabletop d&d along with baldur's gate and ra salvatore novels. the graphics are awesome; kind of a cross between wow and dragon age. and most importantly, the combat is awesome! it's very visceral; kind of a hybrid of typical mmo with some almost action game quality mixed in (darksiders, alice madness returns). i got turned off from guild wars 2 because combat was a little too floaty/disconnected and way too busy graphically. neverwinter avoids those things well.

i've rolled a control mage on the dragon server if anyone wants to link up!

 

My laptop plays more Netflix than it does games. The 15.6" screen looks just as big if not bigger than my 40" tv with the proximity and netflix is hellaciously easier to navigate in Firefox than through my blu-ray player. Still playing Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge when I do play games, low on my list of things to do usually.

 

getting ready to re-visit borderlands 2 this weekend as the new psycho character! apparently you can make him like a pyro psycho or suicide psycho... fun stuff!

 

i can vouch for brutal legend. it's a sum-of-it's-parts kind of thing where you have a driving part to get around w/ some ramp challenges, a button mashing fighter like god of war, and a rts with different cool units. if you're not expecting jut one of those, it's really fun. the codes are separate so you can gift away the others you have. i'd take stacking haha.

 

Just finished Dead Space 3. Next up is Resident Evil 6.

 

tomorrow i begin my 9 day house sitting pc gaming odyssey! i'm probably only about 15% through dishonored so i will get through that story, and then i have both alan wake and Bioshock infinite on deck; alongside those will be my usual smattering of borderlands 2(psycho character is awesome) and tf2.

note on tf2 in particular: if you haven't tried it, you should check out the mann vs. machine mode... it's a blast! you have a conveyor belt of different robot classes coming at you in waves, and between each wave you get to variously upgrade your class and weapons. it's even better with friend(s).

I never know whether to snatch up the cheap games, or wait and see if they get even cheaper....hmmmmm. I will wait. Not-so-patiently.


Edit: Shit, The Incredible Machine and the 7th Guest are only five bucks each...

 

today greenmangaming has borderlands 2 AND the season pass incl. all dlc except the character packs for $13.50 with the 20% code entered. had to mention it since i'm at about 250 hours and counting with it and the 4th dlc pack released just last week for 10$ so this is a steal.
