Well he used it..but then he left the dagger there as he ran off? One of those things about movies and tv that I hate. You have one weapon but it can be used many times..why do you leave it with the first person you kill/use it on?

Well...in the books the dagger shattered, so I can only guess that the writers have a reason for him to leave it there.
Also, didn't Sam find more than one dagger at the Fist of the First Men? I thought I saw him stuffing his bag full of dragonglass.

After a rather long-winded, vaguely threatening recounting by Cersei (Lena Headey) to Margaery (Natalie Dorner) of the basis of the song 'The Rains of Castamere,' Cersei responds to Margaery's previous overture that they will be sisters so they should become friends with, 'If you ever call me sister again, I'll have you strangled in your sleep.'
Niiiiice one, Cersei. Easy to see where King Joff got his sociopathic tendencies.

I can tell without asking that HBO adds a few years to the characters, especially the females. The married pregnant 14 year old would be a bit young even by Russian Old Believer standards and waaay too young for TV.

Well, the character is not the wisest one ever.

Whoops. I had forgotten that the dagger shattered in the book. It's been too long since I've read it. And yes he stuffed more in his bag but he's been running from things ever since the Fist. I doubt any sane character would bring the extra weight with them when they didn't know what the items were. However, Rogue49 does point out that the character is not the wisest one ever...:)

So.....does this mean we don't get to see Edmure's new wife naked? Cuz that was my #1 concern at the end of the epsiode.

And what's the Hound going to do with all that pork? Eat it all himself?

I've been waiting a month to post this. It made me laugh a bit at first, but then it made me really, really sad. Join in my misery, people.

Still working on book one with looong pauses between chapters. So far it is low on my list of priorities., but I am looking forward to Borimor dying yet again. The Ned character is a good one in a powerful position, and I would be disappointed to see him last too long.

Wow..quite the response after the last episode. I've been waiting for that episode to see how they handle it. If you've seen the episode and want to see some of the responses go to...

I love how many of them are blaming HBO for allowing this..it is an integral part of the book.

I'm not assuming anything, remember we are in a world of magic.

Not that I know otherwise... ;)

I still think Bran and Arya are going to kick some major ass. But I'm not counting on a Stark reunion, or really any kind of "happy" ending, at all.

I don't think happy is their goal in this series.
But I do see a excellent representation of "reality", especially as it occurred back before the 1900's

Actually, the world didn't get "civilized" until after WWII and the Atomic Age.

It's intriguing from a Machiavellian cascading series of consequences kind of way.
Who do you really trust??? Who can you???

Definitely different than your typical American standard story arc.
But I love the way they are finally doing Fantasy "right"...giving the effort that it's been due for a long time.

You can't really assume anything...you can only invest yourself so much.
Isn't this what throws people for a loop in real life...messes with their heads...sometimes with long-term effects.

You're not paranoid...but some really are out to get you.

I want The Hound, Jon Snow, and Arya to feed Joffrey to the Walkers.

I literally hate this error. I literally want to punch people in the face when they inappropriately utilize literally. Seriously.

It's dumb. I think a lot of people say "literally" when they actually mean "really," or some other kind of cheap emphasis.
