well... i guess i graduated on the 29th from the Air Force Academy

i feel kind of like this this morning.

 

I've never needed a question mark for a like before. Graduations seem like an either/or thing to me. Or are you saying that you're the goat and headed off to Ft. Campbell for your new infantry career?

They are doing some major landscaping in my apt. complex. While I was walking Simba this morning, we came up on a large open area where the tennis court was until a few days ago. I think they're turning it into a playground. But anyway, it's just a large, open, sandy area right now and when we approached it, there was a landscaper walking across it from the far side with his arms full of palm fronds in a way that made him look like a shrub with legs walking across the clearing. Simba wasn't having any part of that fucking shrub man, no way. He started barking and twisting around and going nuts. I was laughing my ass off. Silly damn dog, lol.

 

When my alarm went off this morning, I thought it was Lordeden 's. It's Saturday, I thought. I don't have to get up. Awesome.

A few seconds later, I realized it was NOT Saturday, I DID have to get up, and things were NOT awesome.



On the other hand, I get paid today, and I get an evening to myself tonight. So, that will be pretty awesome.

I thought today was Saturday too until S reminded me that I should probably go to work. I didn't want to move because the bed was soooooo comfy, but he ummmm...got me "moving" and I was more awake.

It's going to be a great day!

 

From here on out we get to choose our own patients for clinical days. Just got back from the hospital. I chose a 45 year old man with end stage cirrhosis of the liver due to chronic alcoholism. Two years younger than me. He was down getting a bone scan while I was there. Didn't get to meet him. I'm happy that it will be a light day, paperwork-wise, for me because I've already turned in the first of my three "CPFs" that we will do this summer on my patient from last week. I can just hang with him. I've been told he's nice.

If by gross you mean fantastic....then yes.
