Hot dogs over a fire or grill are perfectly acceptable ralphie250.

I actually read your post and thought I need to go to a weenie roast soon. Nothing like some dogs on a stick over an open fire, then smother them in chili, cheese, mustard, and onions. *yum*

  5. I've been into hot dogs lately. Just had a chili cheese dog from Dairy Queen the other day. Love them on the grill. And actually would like one right now.

Does that really matter? Is there a bad way to cook a hot dog? Ever had a hot dog at the ballpark in September, and it's been cooking since May? It's still freakin' awesome.

It was going to be the yum pasta stuff I made last night... but I eated it.

Cast-iron skillet roasted sweet corn, poblano and yellow bell pepper, scallions, onion, and garlic.
Roasted black beans with chili powder, cumin, and kosher salt.
Gluten-free pasta made from beets, peppers, maize, carrots and spinach.
Salsa, fresh scallions, cilantro, organic black olives.
    And some organic avocado.

I made pasta dumplings (from MasterChef New Zealand master class base recipe!) filled with browned house-made italian chicken sausage from Whole Foods and fresh basil. First time making pasta ever and they were so yum. I didn't lose a single one in the cooking process... just one that was too thin tore before it hit the water, and one leaked and got full of water. I served them with my fabulous homemade red gravy, topped them with chiffonade of basil and shaved peccorino romano.
I'm so damn proud of myself.

  16. Leftover pizza.

I've said this elsewhere on the forums, but they *really* shouldn't let me around Domino's when they have sales on large pizzas. I kind of go crazy.

I also made bourbon-peach popsicles. But they're not frozen yet.

How cold do you have to get them to freeze? Recipe?

I took this Strawberry Peach Vodka poptail recipe Strawberry Peach Vodka Collins Popsicle Recipe and tweaked it.
I did 8 oz of fresh peach puree, 4T of simple syrup, 12 oz of Snapple peach tea, and 5 oz of bourbon. Next time I will probably do a 10 oz peach puree, 5T of simple syrup, 14 oz of peach tea, and 4 oz of bourbon.

I used crappy popsicle molds, so I'm going to make them with wooden sticks instead of plastic sticks next time. I have an AWESOME slushy mix right now, they've been in there about 5 hours. If I could have gotten them out of the $1.98 walmart molds, they'd have still been good.
