Pointless Announcements

I just had an old friend who I'd lost contact with hit me up out of the blue. Awesome.

 

Where did all you weirdos from Ohio live when you were there?

It looks like a week from today I shall be traversing your lovely former state on my motorcycle. I want to be sure and wave as I pass your old towns.

 

Interestingly enough, I may be making a few trips to Middletown over the next year or so for work.

I'm trying to decide on my route. I'm going to try to avoid the interstate for most of the trip, since it's much more enjoyable to be on a two lane with the bike. Regarldess, I think I'll be taking a more northerly route than that. Right now I'm looking at taking 30 across most of the state until Wooster, then dipping down 250 towards Wheeling, WV. Heading to the south suburbs of Pittsburgh.

 

I will try to remember that. Though we are kind of snobby about our pizza around here, so it better be good.

 

After looking through r/cumberbitches too much over the last several days, I've come to believe that the hot cardigan Benedict wears so well is in fact his own. That just seals it.

 

I wouldn't mind going to Canton at some point, but I'm at 550 miles already, which is a pretty long one day haul on the bike. So no time for stops of that length, or going that far out of the way. This trip is to spend some time with my brother, who lives outside of Pittsburgh.

The Middletown stuff will be for work. There is a company that wants to do some outside processing for us that is located there. I will probably have to go audit their facility and possibly babysit while they process some material for us. It's months away, but looks likely at some point later this year.

 

The DirecTV guy is here installing my new "Genie" box. They all freak out at Stanley. They sometimes mistake his excitement to see them as a willingness to eat them. I don't mind that at all. My canned answer is "Don't worry about him. If you are nice to me, he is nice to you."

 

That's how he got there.
