Pointless Announcements

My 20's were friggin' awesome, but I had a hell of a job and was in top shape. The 30's & 40's I could do without, but the 50's have been absolutely stellar.

 

I know that feeling. Very well.

 

If one is truly as old as they feel, then I'm pretty well screwed...

Not only was my spleen taken from me at birth, but I also apparently have no frontal sinuses.

What the fuck, body?

 

Be so glad. There is nothing like a severe sinus infection headache focused in that area. I've also seen infection eat through the bone with the brain resting inside the sinus cavities. When one area is missing or disrupted, infection manifests differently.

 

GAH!

My mom, while reading my sinus xrays (she's qualified, don't worry) from when I had pneumonia in 5th grade, pointed out that she's also missing her frontal sinuses. She joked that their absence makes more room for our brains.

 

It also goes a long way to explaining how you can spend extended periods of time with Plan9. A diet consisting of cereal and tuna would definitely have odoriferous results.

 

My olfactory sense works just fine, thank you very much.

 

I read that as "I enjoy the smell of Plan9 's farts."

 

He is a gentleman and never farts in front of me.

Or he's super stealthy and I distract easily.

Ha! To clarify, I didn't think it was something sexual. I was thinking more along the lines of scary medical things. Glad to hear it wasn't.

 

No, that would be the nickname, like Batman is The World's Greatest Detective.

The superhero name would obviously be "Assman".
