    Make all the jokes you want. You may think your country has scandals...well, right now we're dealing with unfolding scandals at both the federal (senate) level and the municipal (mayoral) level. In our case, it's a couple of conservatives, so I'm getting out the popcorn tomorrow.

    Damn. I'm glad I went and saw that movie tonight. Now I've got weeks in which to go see it again. Hopefully next time it will be less crowded and I can ogle more openly.

    For the presentation, my subject will be the medicines patent pool (this will be the third time doing a project on access to medicines in one way or another...that is a thing with me):

    A lady called and asked if we buy new or used computer games. I gave her my standard "we only repair, no buying or selling," and she thanked me and hung up. As soon as I set the phone down, my brain screamed, "COMPUTER GAMES. SHE WAS SELLING COMPUTER GAMES YOU BLOCKHEAD, AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN ASK WHICH ONES."

    I'm blaming it on the fact that she called before I had my coffee.
