I don't give a fuck about Twilight. Fuck that business. My daughter hasn't read Twilight, but somehow she still managed to read 100+ books since coming of the 'chapter book' age.

Too bad you can't practice on my veins, mixedmedia.
I've sent many o' student nurses running to more experienced nurses with these rolling veins, let me tell you.

I once got one poor young nurse so flustered that she took off for the nurse's station leaving 4 needles sticking into various places in my arm. No exaggeration.
Hopefully she's never done that again.

It's gotten to where I suggest they draw blood from my hand as opposed to my inner elbow. It seems easier there.

    binoculars have arrived.
now i can see more things, further away things, sometimes with birds on them but mostly not.
i have, however, seen several black blobby things and also some sticks.

  7. I'm sitting in the PDX airport waiting to board a flight that will take me to Chicago for a layover and then off to Ohio to see my family.

    I had a sweet send-off this morning. :-D

PT session was not fun this morning, but there's progress. Maybe in a month or so I'll start lifting again.

Hubby left yesterday for Florida for a week. Littlegirly and I had a great night last night without him, but even if I don't need him as much as I thought, I still miss him.

Trying to figure out when to go see Star Trek Into Darkness. I have time Friday afternoon but hubs says no, he doesn't want to go to a show that afternoon since we're going to a concert that night. I don't want to miss it and I want to see it NOW! I told him I'd go without him, but he whined. It might be best if I saw it by myself first anyway. Mmm, Benedict Cumberbatch.

I'm really debating how I'm going to see this as well. Do we take our incredibly well-behaved infant when we go dressed in star trek garb for a matinee on Saturday? She never fusses during Mass next to the pipes of our exceptionally loud organ, it follows that she wouldn't fuss in a movie - but the last thing I'll want to do is walk out of the film to deal with her. And bouncing her during the film would probably mess up the 3D. Or do I get a sitter and we miss out on quality baby time? Tt has offered to watch her while I go see it with friends, but it just wouldn't be the same without him.

She can always think of a reason later. You know that first rule about men in the Woman's Club - "The man will always be wrong. Except for the times he is extremely wrong."

Get a sitter. The two to four hours of grown up time will be fine.
