How does porn make money?

She is getting almost a million for this video.
So how does the porn company make money? Selling DVD's? Selling internet access?

First off, there is free porn everywhere now. The internet is loaded with it. So who is paying for it?
Second it seems like these videos get passed around for free within minutes of becoming commercially available. Won't this thing be all over the internet the day after Vivid releases it?

 

Dumbasses buy it.

 

Not everyone has high speed internet or a lot of time to find the good stuff.

If you are making close to $1 million dollars for one scene, it makes sense to do it. But, if it is only $1000 or whatever, unless it is with your long term partner, I don't see it being worth it. For ordinary scenes, unless the website has a monthly fee and enough subscribers, I don't see how they can cover all the bills.

Amateur porn doesn't do it for the money, so porn won't go away if they stop making money. The amateurs will just need to be taught about getting better camera angles, better lighting, and editing.

 

Aaaaaand we have a winner.

Specifically, dumbasses who think that bright lighting, steadicams, soundtracks composed by out of work DJs with a $50 used Cascio keyboard, and overly-made-up bad actresses who look like they've been bionically rebuilt on off-hours shifts by horndog machine operators at Mattel are what makes porn worth paying for.

 

They use terms like "exclusive content" or something like "watch these barely legal teens do whatever <insert specifics here depending on the site> to each other that you will pay the most money to watch".

DVDs are still big business, but Internet distribution is gaining traction, especially for niche content with a smaller audience and a very real risk of facing criminal charges if the production company, their distributors, or resellers shipped physical copies to certain states and municipalities.

Why would anyone buy porn? Let's see ...
-Not everyone has broadband, many who do have bandwidth caps
-Some people don't pirate for fear of being caught
-Some people don't pirate because they don't know how to
-Some people don't pirate because they don't know it can be done
-Some people don't pirate because they don't think it's ethical to do so
-Some people buy porn because they want to compensate the people who make it for their work

 

I also get nothin' lookin at this particular new porn star. She just doesn't do it for me.

 

She looks okay. She has a horse face but really nice smooth skin.
