    Now instead of a 19" CRT 4' in front of me, I have a 32" 720p 4' in front of me.
    The screen is so wide, I think I need a wingman to watch out for sneak attacks.

    We had a First Episode Party, with black bread, mead, lemon cakes, and other show inspired food. I'm pretty sure we watched it three times. Then I watched the second episode and got pissed about Lady.

    Well, yeah. I was pissed with the way the show handled it. And I didn't like how they were trying to make Cersei likable. I just couldn't enjoy the show because I kept comparing it to the book.

    Lordeden and I recently watched the first Deathly Hallows. I tried to keep my comments to myself, but he would look over, and I'd be seething. "What?" he'd ask. And I'd go off on a rant. After a couple of those, he rolled his eyes and said, "Now I remember why I don't watch Game of Thrones with you."

    I get it. There are some shows that I refuse to watch for those reasons as well.

    I don't see how they're trying to make Cersei likeable though. She comes off as a total and complete bitch in the show. If anything, they only tried to make her likeable for a small portion just to get the character rolling and with some feelings of her being at a loss for Joff, but that is in the books too so it isn't anything that far off. :shrug:

    I've rejected a lot of authors in my day (by my estimate, I'm pushing 1,000), but I rarely have the opportunity need to reject clients.

    Today, I rejected a potential client. It was a short work, meaning it would have been easy from a workload perspective. The problem? It was bat-shit crazy. The kind of crazy where, no matter how conservative you edit the thing, you know the writer's going to be all like, "WTFDYDTMB?!"*

    So, naturally, I went the "It's not you; it's me" route.

    *What the fuck did you do to my book?!
