The Complaining and Bitching Thread

Although I've been quite satisfied with the quality and reliability of Apple hardware and software, both of the Mini-DVI to DVI Adaptors that I've used seemed to be in a perpetual state of "nearly kaput." I'm tired of always having to wiggle the motherfuckers.

 

I hate iTunes right now.


Though it's probably not iTunes fault.


I just want to direct my frustration somewhere because there is no good way to transfer 17k songs, in iTunes, from one PC to another in 5 minutes. And if you try to batch transfer them all at once iTunes just laughs and locks up. 500 worked. I'll try 1000 in the next batch I guess.

 

For every song I have, you have 10.

 

For the last several years I've properly purchased all my music.

Years and years ago I was a bad boy and let friends give me their music lists too. So that helped inflate my numbers a good deal. I'd probably be at ~1/3 of where I am now if it weren't for that. If I was motivated properly I'd probably try to sort through and delete about half of the stuff, as it doesn't even fit my tastes.

I'm 1690 songs into the transfer. Ugh.

 

I've got so much work to catch up on today. I can only hope that I don't end up spending my planning period consoling someone again. I really need the time to get things done.

 

Originally I made an appt. out in IA to have my glass replaced late yesterday. Once I decided to drive home instead of waiting it out until almost the end of the day, I rescheduled with the same company to come out this morning to replace the glass. When I rescheduled I noticed on the email confirmation that they had the trim level of my vehicle listed as a "Sport". Mine is not a "Sport" and I told them this. I said I didn't know if the glass was different, but wanted to be sure if it was that the guy didn't come out with the wrong piece. She said they only showed a "Sport" in their system, but she would double check and make sure it was fixed before today's appointment.

The guy shows up this morning. Want to guess what glass he brought?

So now they have to order the glass from their main warehouse to be to the local shop early tomorrow so he can come back out tomorrow morning to fix it.

The good news is that I didn't have this problem at 4-5PM yesterday after waiting 8 hours for the repair, while 4 hours from home. My giant head would've exploded. The bad news is that he removed my awesome ghetto duct tape repair before he realized he had the wrong glass, so the vehicle is either stuck in the garage until tomorrow or I need to redo the fix. And it is 30-some degrees and raining out, so the Harley isn't a viable transportation option in the meantime.

 

I'm producing so much mucus right now it's not even funny.
