    I had to design a flyer for a rather difficult-to-deal-with department at work and finished it under the gun yesterday evening for a mid-day final approval deadline today. I was convinced they would hate what I did with it, and they loved it.

    It is absolutely GORGEOUS outside, and I got to sit out on the steps for a bit in the sunshine earlier. Also, the gas station had diet Dew in glass bottles on sale today. Rockshooooow.

    Got a hell of a compliment today. One of my colleagues said she looks forward to when I am subbing in the future--if I don't get a job first--since it's nice to know a sub who can keep things under control.

    I was just sitting on the back steps again, reading my Kindle while the dogs sniffed around and secured the perimeter ( :rolleyes: ) I realized that, weather-wise, tonight is perfect. High humidity, 70 degrees, clear. And it smells like spring: earth and grass and...I don't know, new.

    It was pretty fantastic. I wanted to stay outside forever.

    The rain slacked off JUST long enough for me to run this morning. It was kind of misting when I first started, but I kept going and cleared two miles!


    My route takes me down one of the main roads downtown, and sometimes I feel a little self-conscious when I hit that stretch, what with all the cars going by. I keep telling myself, "hey, you're out here running, and they're not." That helps a lot :)

    Applied for job Thursday Night
    Received call from potential boss Friday Afternoon asking for writing samples
    Received email from potential boss on Saturday to offer an interview
    Interview scheduled for Tuesday afternoon

    Oh sweet Jesus I hope that "Offered Job" can be added to that list for next week and then "Put in my 2 weeks notice while trying sooooooo hard not to tell the Dean and his Butt buddy to SHOVE IT!" can be added to it as well.

    Feeling like crap, then I benched 325 for an easy 4. Feel less like crap now. It helps in a job that is completely thankless to be able to go to the gym at lunch and feel a sense of accomplishment.
