    I told you, duct tape fixes everything. Even a vandalized window when you need to drive almost four hours home in the rain.

    There is a heavy duty plastic bag under that tape, but no way was I going to listen to it rattle and snap for three hours. So I cacooned the door in tape (plastic barrier kept the tape from being on any paint) and it held up nicely on the drive home.

    They are evacuating our local hospital due to flooding. All kinds of businesses are closing up for the day. I am in a pretty good spot to not flood, but I hope for everyone's sake the rain tonight is not as heavy as they are forecasting.

    This. I was out in it (stupidly) and turned around about an hour into my commute, giving up in the amount of water coming down and on the roads. It took me 3 hours to go back since streets that had been open at 6am had flooded by 7:30am.

    Several school districts closed in the suburbs because the school buses could not navigate the water and pick up students. Expected to be worse as the 2nd wave comes this afternoon just in time for rush hour.

    woohoo! the boys in my pharm group pulled through. now I can chill tonight and coordinate the 2nd part of the project (a nurse/doctor ISBAR recording) this weekend with the girls. that's a huge relief.
