Recently I have finally been able to sleep past 0400 on my weekend. Sleeping at night is just not normal anymore.

 

Survived the 60+mile slog. It hurt. It may be time for a nap.

 

I can't study at home because there are too many distractions. I also can't study at the university library or the community library for the same reason.

Luckily I have an office that is very quiet and empty on the weekends.

1 week down 9 more to go then finals.....Grad school is going to take FOREVER!!!

Okay, nap time for real. Somebody wake me up in an hour—two hours at most—so I'm not up at 5am again tomorrow morning.

I like rain, thunderstorms, and lightening. I just think they're better on days when you can wake up and lay in bed and listen to them. I won't have another one of those until next Sunday.

Tonight is my oral medication administration check-off. Exciting! Once I pass this check-off, I will be able to administer my patient's medications in the hospital this Thursday and Friday. I'm feeling very nurse-y about that.

Today I must learn everything I need to know about netForum before my assistant goes on maternity leave.

As far as her claim goes... um. No. They aren't - at least last I knew of they weren't but it changes pretty frequently. To say this is a cutthroat business is a massive understatement.

The contract sounds a little funky to me. Most of the time if they are going to market something for air time on any given network, they'll allow you to keep ownership until they have a buyer. At that point, the network creates their own contract that either stipulates an outright purchase or a royalty. For instance, in the area I'm in now (I'm running back to long format as soon as my non-compete expires) we create highly polished ads for various companies. They in turn are placed in whatever time slot rotations according to the different networks and the different providers. Most of the time they pay a minimum of $.10 per slot with the price increasing for prime time and channel selection and of course number of plays. In your case a royalty would most likely be out of the equation and the network would purchase it outright including ownership to place it where they wanted it. This would kill any YouTube avenues as the license changed hands.

:shrug: For an Iphone vid, $200 isn't bad - I don't have time to run through all these messages but I figured I'd let you know her contract sounds funky. If it's changed or you've signed then good on ya. Sounds like a nice steak dinner - or new attachments for your wife's favorite bedroom item.
