    I need a fast forward on this day; I surely do no want a do-over.
    Woke up coughing, laid back down for a bit and then found that the water heater chose today to need a reset. Set off to work sleepy, sick, and unshowered. Grabbed tea at Starbucks, they forgot a splenda. Accident on the way to the office stopped traffic for 22m. My boss isn't here yet, so the office isn't open. And I feel like shit. And have to do two hours of IQ testing and a therapy session today.
    There's my complaining and bitching for today. I think that's good.

    Another friend is having a baby today. And I really don't know how I feel about that. I mean, yeah, I'm happy for the couple, obviously.

    But I'm a little bummed. At an earlier point in my life, I figured I'd have two or three rugrats running around by now.


    And on the other hand, I'm also kinda glad I don't have to be responsible for a tiny human.

    There has been a monthly meeting that I have REALLY wanted to go to about collaborating across campus with social media efforts, but could never make. Today was supposed to be my day....but I will NEVER go to these meetings now. A very VERY creepy guy whom I try to avoid even though he's in my building was at that meeting. Luckily i saw him through the BIG window before entering.

    This guy makes the_jazz seem cool.

    Oh US parks department officer who was such a prick that wrote me a No Standing ticket while I was unloading my wife at one spot moved 7 car lengths and loaded her again.

    He was made that I corrected him from the 2nd warning he gave me where he pointed at me to move and I "magically" moved. No I said I was unloading my wife and trying to get back into traffic and was let in by one of the tour busses. I then saw my wife motion that she wanted to come back to the car and I pulled out of traffic to let her get back in the car when you knocked on the window and said this was my second warning. I said you are blocking from getting into the vehicle while you demanded my license and registration or nothing good will come of this.

    Fuck you for insisting on my drivers license and registration and then giving me a parking ticket which didn't have any of my drivers information on it only owner. Good thing I have photos for how the car was positioned. I'll be fighting this via mail and not paying the stupid $50 fine.

    My old lady has been sick for awhile and believed she was dying from lupus. (FACT: She's not.)

    She thought the end was near and has been busy making all sorts of arrangements, lamenting how short life was. (FACT: She's been steadily improving after being treated by both Eastern AND Western medicine.)

    Recently during one of her monumental lapses into self-pity, she claimed that once she was no longer able to fulfill her "wifely duties", I could consider myself a "free man."

    (FACT: This is a colossally bad idea, as evidenced by my theoretical visitation to the local singles bar. )

    I can't wait for her to fully recover. (Not there yet, but it's getting better by the day.)

    For the record, the last person I banned was someone who was sending female members suggestive PM's. Although there's someone else that I've been tempted to ban, but that's just because of a pet peeve.

    Brewery tours followed by bar time are not conducive for early morning kid wake-ups.
