I took the coffee pot & filter basket home last night to wash. Guess what's still sitting in the kitchen sink? Yeaaah...I'm gonna need to make a gas station run here in a minute.

 

Decisions, decisions... do I go to the gym and be "that guy" who coughs and sniffles through 30 minutes on the Nordic Trak or do I just slam this cold that's moving into my chest with just vegetable juice and broth for the next 24 hours?

 

Mission accomplished. I have achieved caffeination.

 

Finally have more gym motivation - signed up for a Warrior Dash for early fall and I REFUSE to finish last because I'm too egotistical.

Suck it, grown up obstacle course.

It's about 10 minutes outside of Grand Rapids, so about a 2.5 hour drive from Detroit/Chicago, and not too far from Ohio/Wisconsin/Indiana

 

While all you North Americans are contemplating coffee and the like, I have just stumbled home after a couple of post-work pints.

Inebriation is your word for the day.

 

Plan9 and I are going to be all up in the mid-Atlantic dirt run action this summer/fall, assuming scheduling works out.

The first (and only) mud run I did was in November a few years ago. It was cold, pissing rain for the first group that went out on the course, and the second group (mine) was held from starting because a bunch of horses had escaped from their enclosures along the route and were roaming free. Mud. Rain. River water. And horse shit.

At the moment, I'm watching a live webcam feed of a hawk nest at Cornell University and a YouTube video of last year's Paris-Roubaix race. All your bandwiths are belong to me.
