    I remember going to a McDonald's in Beijing after having spent 2 1/2 weeks in Russia and Mongolia. After having eaten things like horse sausage, mushrooms picked in a Siberian forest (that might or might not be deadly), dishes simply labeled "meat" (in Russian) and fermented mare's milk, a little bit of something familiar was totally worth it.
