Mixed tandoori. It was good but I wanted more of the meat coated in green yogurts and herbs. No idea if it was lamb or chicken but it was really good. I didn't eat any rice.

Vegan palak, hot and spicy tempeh from Veganomicon, and a little bit of Lundberg short grain brown rice from our nine thousand batches of rice that have been made since our zoji-something-shu rice cooker arrived on Tuesday.

Taking part in a friendly cooking competition. One fish dish and one dessert each. I am making a slow cooked salmon with asparagus and pine nut salsa. For dessert I am making a s'more into a tarte... I am calling it: Stop Dressing Like a Tarte, You S'more!

Leftover from lunch at Ethiopian restaurant- chicken stew simmered in berbere, ginger, garlic, onion and herbal butter.

No injera bread. It still tastes like eating a sponge.

Mini bison meatloves and a salad I threw together for tomorrow's lunch so that I don't have to eat Bono's barbeque... it's quinoa (made in the infamous rice cooker--best i've ever had, by the way), steamed broccoli, a few edamame, carrot shavings, a little celery and cucumber, and some small tofu squares that I made in the non-stick pan with italian-herb-infused olive oil, salt, and pepper. A little sliced spinach and some green onion, mixed with Organicville Olive Oil Vinagrette dressing.
The meatloaves need to hurry up and cook so we can go have a beer. Beers.

Sauteed spinach in wild mushroom and sage infused olive oil with garlic, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Over steamed Lundberg short grain brown rice with Bragg's amino acids. With a side of S's impromptu lentil soup (black lentils made in the rice cooker with chicken broth broth the other day, cooked in beg stock with garam masala, salt, and pepper, the pureed) mixed with quinoa.
Damn, eating healthy is soooo amazing.

    Last night, but sharing anyways:
-T-bone steak, seared on the stove, finished in the oven
-Redskinned mashed potatoes: Boil cubed, skin on, red potatoes, drain, mash with milk, butter, LOTS of chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Best if left a little chunky. :)
-Oven roasted asparagus: toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon zest. Put in oven at 350 for about 15 minutes until leaves at tip brown slightly.

    SO GOOD.

I get to have the Athena's Gift again... the raw vegan sammich. But, we're going to split it tonight, so we can have beer and not be too full. I want a little tabbouleh, too.
