I need to share this.

 

I didn't get pooped on today, but I did have a patient faint and stop breathing. Luckily, she revived, but for a few seconds I thought she died on me until I found a pulse.

 

Yesterday, I got word that I was going back to my old job which was great news. But minutes after I hang up the phone, my father comes into the kitchen and says "By the way, we're probably moving to Texas."

seriously, wtf. It's times like these that I hate myself for not being able to live on my own. Basically, unless I find some way to make enough money to live on my own, I'm probably going to Texas. What a bad day.

 

Wish I had something funny to say. My life is hanging on my dad's life...which has been a series of ever-more-complex operations over the past 2 weeks. He's at Johns Hopkins now instead of small city USA hospital that farked up the initial, doomed-from-the-start, stent procedure, so yay.

I went to bed early and got plenty of sleep. I really needed it. It was a stressful week and by last night my ass was dragging. Ready for the last day of class before the weekend. Today we are learning about geriatric sensory perception. We've been told to bring blindfolds.

 

This is going to be a craptastic day. I can just feel it.

 

I concur. Back to the vet with the Old Man as the meds don't seem to be working. Lunch meeting and the client of the day is being ornery about their appointment... Which they've missed the last two times. I can only do what I can do, yo.

 

Busy doing something close to nothing

 

Heading to the airport in Jacksonville FL. After a week onsite at a client in SE Georgia. Flying home to where it presently is 3 degrees! WTF 3 degrees?

We're playing at a benefit for Veterans Haven tomorrow night. That's always fun. Hope a bunch of people show up in a generous mood.

 

Spent no time here other than getting to town last night about 7. Ate at Mitchell's Seafood, was OK. Was hoping for better. Did Clark's Fish Camp a few months ago. That was a trip Doubt I will be back anytime soon.

 

Eeew, Mitchell's. The Fish Company in Jax Beach is one of the only places I'll go for seafood in town. I can't eat at Clark's because all of the animals are watching me. Better luck some other time.
