    - Hommous
    - Cucumber yoghurt dish (Middle Eastern version of Tzatziki)
    - Fried Kibbeh stuffed with minced beef and lentils
    - Lamb Schawarma
    - Minced beef kebab
    - Lots and lots of lamb chops
    - Muhalabia

The kibbeh were amazing together with the cucumber yoghurt.

SO didn't really like the Muhalabia at all, while I loved it. It's basically milk and sugar, what's not to love?

Maybe it's the Pistachios. What does your SO say, Lish ?

I made Thai yellow curry with chicken served on basmati rice.

Sometime soon I want to try to make massaman curry. That shit is delicious.

You Moslems and your delicious things.

It's not hard. You just need to find the paste. From there, it's pretty similar to making Japanese curry rice.

I haven't seen the paste, though I don't think I've ever looked for it specifically. As with most curry, the magic is all in the paste, and everything else falls into delicious place. In this case, it includes tamarind. I fucking love tamarind.

Chicken roasted with sage, lemon thyme, parsley, chive, marjoram, scallion, savory, and lots of garlic and lemon. P'titim ("Israeli couscous") cooked in chicken stock with minced up dried apricot, sauteed onion, and almonds. Flash-steamed asparagus.

Ya habibi, we'd be happy to host you and Shelish any time for dinner and general sillyness. Let's hit up Mezze House for dinner, and JBR with some local royalty together afterwards :D

A business contact very highly recommended a restaurant called "Al-Arrab" to me, so I went with my SO. The food was pretty bloody good!

  13. when we are there later this year inshallah. was supposed to be in march but projects have been building up, so im pushing back for later in the year. you can pick me up in your mercilago and park in on the cobbled footpath at JBR for everyone to stare at it.

al arrab? ibn battuta rings a bell.

Deconstructed colcannon--leeks and cabbage on top of baked Yukon Gold potatoes, sprinkled with a smidge of Asiago.
