Pointless Announcements

I feel like I hardly got a weekend this weekend between school and work. Luckily I only have to do a couple things today. Work for three hours... I'll be able to relax at two. Phew. And I get to see the Born This Way Ball with Lady Gaga on Wednesday!

 

Weekend ended up being much better than it started on Friday.

This will be a short week as I'm letting a guy cut holes in my mouth Wednesday and yank chunks of bone out. No word on whether losing wisdom teeth will make me dumber or not.

 

Are you getting put to sleep? I highly recommend it. I was really only down for the count for two days--one to recover from the anaesthesia and another for the pain. The third day I was able to wait to take the Vicodin until after I'd done a bunch of stuff. Whatever you do, don't bend over for at least a week afterward--they really mean it when they say keep your head above your heart (it's also a nice excuse, oh, I can't clean the catbox; I can't bend over like that...). Be prepared with ice packs or peas. The ice really does help.

 

Yes, I am getting put out. At the consult he said that two of them should come out with little problem, but that two of them would be really bad. I guess we'll see. I took Thursday and Friday off of work. I don't have anything really planned for next weekend. So I should have several days to take it easy.

Yeah, mine was sideways and impacted. Luckily I only had one They were worried that it would be difficult and that I might lose the tooth next to it, as they were really squished together (that's why my wisdom tooth had to come out), but there weren't any complications and I was done in 20 minutes.

 

They told me to plan on two hours for the procedure! Hopefully that isn't an accurate representation of how bad it will be.

 

Well, they told me to plan on an hour for one tooth, so I think you're fine.
