Pointless Announcements

So my daughter gives me a card yesterday which states, 'I can't even begin to describe how proud I am to be your daughter.'
Parenthood is so often thankless and difficult. It really is. Excepting for moments like that one.

 

WOW, that is impressive. usually all I get form my kids is the finger. LOL

 

I was going to post about the horribleness of a Christmas with a toddler in a cast from shoulder to wrist, and then I read this.

I'll laugh about what happened yesterday next year. So instead of what I was going to say:

Not much is more fun that a "dogpile on Daddy" with a contest to see who can give the most kisses. Especially when Daddy uses tickling as a defensive weapon.

decided to go with the nexus 7 tablet. i installed both firefox and opera on it and am using opera to type this post out.

 

My daughter gave me a coffee table book on Alexander McQueen's exhibition at the Met last year. I'm really not into fashion, so it was puzzling at first, but wow I had no idea. The book is kind of mesmerizing...and overwhelming. Intensely creative and beautiful clothing, yet structurally very sound, beautifully tailored. Then I went and read about him (because I knew nothing) and about the way he died. Which is terribly tragic and sad.

fuck it!.........buying a PA today

 

Wow am I burnt out today. No energy at all, and yesterday was comfortably low key. Have an important conference call in 30 minutes then I think I'm going to work out. Maybe 30 minutes of intense cardio will kick me out of this carb-laden daze I'm in.

 

If you join him you could double that time-limit and it'd be a more interesting 'showertime'

 

Shoveled 4 inches of snow from our 3 car wide driveway and corner (double!) lot sidewalk. It's still snowing... hard. Likely we'll have another 4-6" to clear in the morning before QW can leave for work. I'm getting too old for this shit.

 

money well spent = 350 watts per monitor......what a killer jam today.......FUCK YEAH.......been a good musical holiday.

Yeah, me too. I take showers that would otherwise scald people. But in the summer time I take cold showers.

 

Today I got a car stuck in the snow for the first time ever. I probably shouldn't have left the house at that particular time, but I was determined. I also made a bad choice in trying to get up that damn hill instead of finding another way around. Ah well.. about 10 minutes, a shovel, and a salt truck driver who took pity on me got me out. I never went OFF the road, my car just couldn't get traction in the slush under another few inches of snow to make it more than 3/4 up the damn hill.

 

We have 9 in. of snow here !
