More detail on Rob Parker's suspension:

ESPN suspends Rob Parker, but will the network’s ethics ever change? | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Some cool quotes in response to his comments:

Arian Foster - "I'm going to work on my blackness today ... My mom is Mexican, so I can only optimize 50% of my blackness."
DeMaurice Smith - "Robert can certainly take care of himself. Nonetheless, I hope that our men and for that matter, my own kids, will never beg for authenticity from someone who can only talk about the things that other people have the courage to do. People need to be held accountable for the offensive things that they say."
RGIII's father - "He needs to define what 'one of us' is. That guy needs to define that," Griffin's father told Jim Corbett of USA Today Sports about Parker's comments. "I wouldn't say it's racism. I would just say some people put things out there about people so they can stir things up. Robert is in really good shape on who he is, where he needs to get to in order to seek the goals he has in life ... so I don't take offense."

Arian Foster seems like a really cool dude, and his quote is hilarious.
Now I want thoughts and opinions on something else, what are everyone's thoughts on games ending in a tie?
Should it be allowed? If not, what should be changed to prevent ties from happening?
Personally I think unlimited OTs in a college format, just start each team at the 50 for their possession.

  3. Should not be allowed. No reason for it. Don't care how it is settled, just as long as it is fair (both teams get an equal shot at scoring)

I don't like a game ending in a tie, but I think that in an era where they are trying to drive towards greater player safety, more than one overtime is asking for trouble.

I think the current set-up is much better than it was. I hate to get too gimmicky with OT to force an ending. The only adjustment I might see is if both teams make a FG, instead of kicking off for the next possession, give the other team (who kicked the 1st fg) the ball at their opponent's 40 yard and play sudden death from there. Or even the 50, but something to encourage the team with the second possession to take a gamble that keeps it from ending in a tie. But I don't know, even that is kind of too much of a gimmick for me.

What a dumpster fire. And it's not like they are stacked with talent at other positions so that a change in QB will make them a great team any time soon either.

Sanchez may actually be a decent QB, but considering the lack of support, play calling and the oddness of the whole Tebow situation, we may never really know. I doubt Rex Ryan will be back next year... I just hope Miami isn't stupid enough to hire him.

Can't someone talk Tebow out of playing QB? He could be a hall of fame caliber tight end, but he's just a sideshow now.

I'd say more than likely. They'll definitely give him the targets for it with not too much else to play for.

I didn't realize how far ahead of the rest of the field both Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson are. They are each almost 500 yards ahead of the next guy in yardage at their position.

you know its funny i knew calvin had this in him. But in a era of passing to have ap putting up this kind of yardage its carzy.

My aunt and uncle gave us tickets for the Jets/Chargers game. We went into it thinking the Jets could beat the Chargers, but by the end we were mostly disappointed that we didn't see a new record set for most times sacking a QB.

Both are physical freaks without many other offensive options on their teams. Both seem like decent dudes too from what you hear.
