Been having this Logitech G500 mouse for the past 6 months.

Took me two months just to figure out its special scrolling feature.

And took me until two minutes ago, with the help of my SO, to figure out that I can actually change the mouse pointer speed with the push of a button on this thing.

I am both stupid and amazed.

 

Dinner with "the new boss" last night. Shit is getting real.

Our doctor didn't show up for work this morning. When I got there at two, the place was abuzz because we had gone all morning without a doctor and two other docs had just arrived to try and catch us up with all of the drop-offs from this morning and to see the afternoon/evening appointments. No one had heard a word from him. It was weird. I kept asking if anyone had tried to call his wife, but no one seemed to know. At about six, I received a call from the AWOL doctor and he told me that he didn't know he was scheduled to work at our hospital today and that he had left his cellphone at 'the office.' It was an awkward conversation. I get the feeling he's going to be in a lot of hot water. Still, I'm glad he's not dead on the side of the road somewhere. Doctors: they're smart, but they're not. Anyone who works with them will know what I mean.

 

I'll check yo' ass like a looter in a riot.

In 12.5 hours I will be done with this semester. Thank goodness. On a somewhat related note, I have a job interview on Friday! I sense the possibility of some decisions in the future...

 

I learned something about doctors during my early years in nursing. The bastards are fucking human! Who knew?

I work with some pre-med students. GREAT on paper....not so good in the real world.

 

Running Photoshop CS 6 64 bit on the laptop now. Oh yeah. Unless I am mistaken my Adobe subscription lets me run this on two systems, and it seems to be working so far. The amusing thing is that my system running the 64 bit build of Windows 7 only has 3 GB of ram, a dual core 20.1 Ghz CPU, and quite arguably wasting any benefit that the 64 bit gives it overall.
