Food What's For Dinner Tonight?

I compared it to grass fed beef because it has that same rich flavor. But I'm a dark meat person too.

If you lived closer I might slip you a couple pounds of venison.

 

If you dry some, I will exchange you a bottle of pinot noir.

 

I don't have a dehydrator. I was thinking about trying to smoke some for jerky, but I had most of the roasts made into steaks, ground and breakfast sausage. I'm not sure I want to give up an entire roast for the experiment. I have to go back and look and see. I also may be able to figure out a way to ship some frozen, depending on shipping costs for 1-2 day delivery, so that may be an option. Give me a few days.

 

Don't worry about in that case. I have local sources for that kind of thing.

 

Leftover pizza.

I ordered sausage and canadian bacon. They sent me sausage and bacon. Not the worst mistake ever.

 

It was supposed to be tamales (authentic fifth-generation recipe) at a friends' house. But the wife is sick today with the stomach flu and I don't think I'm going to go without her.

 

I should probably think of something. Maybe sweet potato black bean tacos.

 

Leftover pizza gain. It is good stuff, but I shouldn't have ordered so much the other night. This will be the end of it though.

 

Tacos. Made with ground venison.

 

Since I didn't do the tacos yesterday as we didn't get home until late, I think that's what we're having tonight. I should turn on the oven so I can roast my sweet potatoes.

 

Menu diversion. We decided to make burgers and fries with the ground venison. I love me some homemade fries.

 

Turkey meatloaf and roasted sweet potatoes

 

Homemade chimichangas, or so I'm told.

 

Soba noodle soup with eggs poached on top.
