Pointless Announcements

After the student government meeting in 3 minutes, that's my next stop. I have a Robin Cook novel and a bottle of Powerade Zero. I'm hardcore

 

I actually do NOT have homework tonight. And, I counted that blessing.

 

And just like that, the world has a new Katelina in it.

I'm happy for her, but I'm also happy to say that I didn't give birth today.

 

beverages are there. i am here. a number of possibilities offer themselves.

 

Cat is totally freaking me out. Ears, mouth and left eye are pinker than this and super hot. Vet hasn't gotten back to me, I'm by myself with him, and I'm worried. All I can do is watch him and wipe his face with a cool, wet cloth every once in awhile.

 

He's got a fever... and the only cure is more cowbell.

 

Could be something simple like a uri or conjunctivitis. Hang in there.

 

What a week.....

 

I agree. Left home Monday morning at 7 am, won't be home until probably 10 pm tomorrow.

 

I really, really dislike being on-call! Blah.

I love the safety features of my apartment. Practically no fire can screw me over. Got a central alarm system (connected to all smoke alarms in the building), a big-ass fire extinguisher in the kitchen, sprinklers on the ceiling, fire hose and reel right next to my apartment door, and stairs right next to that.

But I cannot stand how fucking loud the alarm is and how often it goes off because some dumbass produced too much smoke while cooking breakfast.

Fuck you and your fucking bacon, man!

Pssst. It's Friday!

 

Back to the vet at 10. He started vomiting in the middle of the night and his face and ears are soooo pink and hot. Silly animal is acting like himself, but every time he pukes, he comes over for affection, like he's done something really bad. Poor booger head.

My client ended up back in the ER last night and got admitted to the shitty naval hospital. Leave it to insurance to argue the transfer to the children's hospital. "Hey, why can't NAS docs do a spinal tap on an autistic 4 year old, huh?"] I know how to help, but it's not my role to go up there anymore and that's frustrating.

Man, I haven't even been awake an hour and I already feel incredibly impotent.
