I love hearing the Republican Party castigate itself on their own talk radio shows.

 

I just quoted roachboy in a political discussion. It was glorious.

 

Sometimes I forget what an amazing actress Jessica Lange can be in the right role.

 

I've always thought so too, ever since I the first time I saw her in the horrible "King Kong" remake way back in 76. She was the only bright star in that flick.

 

She's fucking amazing in American Horror Story.

I don't have another exam for a week and a half. I don't know what to do with myself!

 

I thought I had succumbed to the time change funk....but it wasn't ME who fucked up....even though I took responsibility like a good little lackey. I just like knowing that it wasn't my fault.

last night there was a gale that blew straight off the water.

sometimes the floor would move like it was being picked up.

this continued for hours and hours.

at one point, i put on a coat and went out onto my deck to see if the cretin neighbor had anything untoward on his back lawn. that was the most likely place my living room would land were it to blow off the building, you see.

there is a large motor boat there. this did not please me.

what, in this sort of situation, is a reasonable course of action?

after a while of not being able to think of any course of action at all, rational or irrational, i grew irritated about whatever the chain of thoughts had been that resulted in my standing there in the pouring rain looking at a fucking motor boat trying to figure out if there was something that i should do.

i determined that nothing good was going to come of continuing to be awake that night. if the living room were to blow off the building and land on a motor boat, it would be better were i not in it. i should go to bed.

all of this happened while still standing on the deck in the wind-whipped rain.

that is all.

 

Ha. Just got my first job offer...
via LinkedIn teaching for University of Phoenix. Too bad I'm not in town for a full semester.
