Improper air pressure could definitely impact traction. Most tires have a "Max PSI" on the sidewall, and typically the best pressure to keep them at is a few pounds below that.

  2. Completely forgot about resetting the clocks. Glad the went back instead of ahead.

WTF, kramus! Thought you lived in the "polite" country. Happy to hear she is okay.

amonkie! A joyful, loving life lies ahead! Congrats!

    We have power, heat, water.

People a few blocks away don't have all three or some of the three on any combination.

I feel horrible and don't know what to do to help and thus feel helpless.

In the happy news department, the fire marshal said they cannot play the lovely holiday music over the alarm system this year. Woo Hoo! After the wonderful playlist last year that run literally from Nov 1st until Christmas, I was expecting them to raise the level of pain by playing 2 if not 3 of the masterpieces from the no doubt upcoming Justing Bieber holiday album. Definitely my least favourite female Canadian singer.

I can't imagine Gatorade being less favorable than a stranger sticking weird tools up my butt. :p

well, during tool time you are knocked out. so it sucks less.

i still wonder if i really woke up in the middle of my first one...there was a boombox on a counter. david bowie's "let's dance" was playing. everyone's face looked a little like the faces in soundgarden's "black hole sun" video. the doctor held a large vacuum cleaner and was laughing. then it stopped.

  11. When I had mine a year ago the Dr had to give me more sedative during it. Said I was sensitive. :D

Don't feel bad, you are doing so much for others during this crazy time. I have one sister in Toms River with telephone poles and trees down all around her, no electric yet.
Another sister not to far from her and my Dad in North Jersey with no electric. In spite of that they seem to be okay. I just hope the noreaster doesn't appear this week for them.

Ugh, whoever owned the house before had a dog, and the carpets LOOKED like they had been cleaned, but they weren't--or if they were, the person doing it didn't do a good job. My Dyson picked up four bins worth of dog fur off of the carpet at the new place. Hubby is fetching the steam cleaner from his parents and we're going to see how that works. If it doesn't, tomorrow it will be Rug Doctor time.

I know what this was supposed to imply, but I cracked up laughing anyway. And my first thought was, "poor guy, he must be lonely now."

In other news, I <3 my new Galaxy SIII. It's pretty and blue and does everything I want it to. Yay!

Wiped, but still have to write some responses up for school. I'm thinking shower, PJs, tea, and then I'll be ready to focus.

Sandy fucked me up I at least 2 different ways.

One is community leadership and the other is what will we do if there is a real apocalyptic shit going down and what will I do?

that was the ketamine. I awoke to the nurse listing off the vials used. i said 'yep yep yep'
the anesthesiologist snorted and said. 'you won't recall any of this conversation"
    heh. not true.

the purge prep before the scope was the worst part imo.
aloe wipes helped soothe the fire in between sprints to the loo.

and on that note on the eve of yet another pointless national clusterf.......er....."Presidential Election" let's remember that timeless classic - "The dead voter is the politician's best friend" which of course goes hand-in-hand with "Vote early, vote often".
