I have made some major headway with the Germans today.

Urge to make Borla's face meet the wall is still there. :D

I'm sure this is completely unrelated, but I just read about a poll suggesting that the typical American reads only four books per year and that as many as one in four adults read no books at all.

Shit. I read about a book a week.

My wife is in that last group though. She hates reading.

    Yuck.

I'm reading six different books right now--four for school, two for fun.

Perhaps that was taken of people with 3-year-olds.... I think we read 2 or 3 for him every day, but the minute my ass hits leather and I open a book, I either fall asleep or something happens that I have to attend to.

    I love to read.

You guys. We need to make this happen.

Nah, she totally does it on purpose. Even better is when you ask her to name characters or talk about plots, and she mashes them all together. It's awesome.

I was just going to post that I've read 85 books this year. Quite a few of them were YA, but still.

  11. I thought it was Josh Wheeton.

She likes when I talk about him too.

What are you talking about? I totally know what's going on.

Hans Sulu is a space pilot guy in Deep Space nine and has an ewok named Jar-Jar. Wesley Crusher is Darth Vader's son. I got this.

I am both laughing in schadenfreude at the TFP nerds' impending heart attacks, and crying that I am in a position to correct her.

That movie where he fights his arch-nemesis Captain Adama John-Luke Kirk and his goofy yet lovable sidekick Data Spock has some epic scenes. Especially when he delivers Shakespearean lines in an overly dramatic manner with odd pauses.
edit: The Wesley Crusher character can't be Anakin's son. Luke is much better at the "whiny bitch" thing, and was only surpassed by the portrayal of the younger Anakin that gives you a much deeper appreciation of where Luke got it from.

The falling asleep when reading a book phenomena happens to my spouse as well. It's really sad IMO, because it has cost him dearly in myriad ways.
