No "real American bacon" in the UK. :( Just stuff that for all intents and purposes, is Canadian bacon (fried ham). They do sell some packaged "strips." Throw them in the frying pan and.......and.......no fucking bacon fat! No grease. They taste like bacon flavored cardboard.

    I'm at my wit's end.

That's because that crispy strip thing that is so brittle and tasteless and served to decorate eggs in the US isn't real bacon. Simple :)

Oh, what a piece of work is a bacon
How noble in greasiness, how infinite in flavor
in form and moving how crispy and delectable
in action, how like a breakfast, in apprehension, how like a meal!

  9. Yeah, Brit bacon is much more ham like. Still good but not American bacon.

Even I wouldn't cook that UK bacon in the pic, it looks yuck. I get mine from a local farm and it's thick and juicy and doesn't shrink when cooked. And it exudes loads of fat when cooked. Oh god now i'm imagining bacon butties but I can't eat them :(.

I think I like the Brit bacon better compared to the American bacon. The American bacon looks more like the waste product that belongs in a pot of beans or pea soup for flavoring, no meat!

  12. That all looks disgusting

Did laundry today. Hung the sheets on the clothesline. Sheets just smell so nice and fresh when air dried outside instead of in the clothes dryer.
Made the bed, took a shower with a friend. Going to bed early.
Clean me, clean Sig, clean sheets.
Hoping for a morning pleasantry in a few hours.
Perhaps a little jazzy improvisation to tame the raging morning woody...

So apparently adolescent gushing over 40-50 year old photographs of Bob Dylan is a hot thing on tumblr these days.
    It's kind of creepy.

Oh, and the cold. Turned out to be a flu. And it totally kicked my ass.
I missed a day of work.
I missed Oktoberfest (there's another one later in the month).
Spent a lot of time in bed and watched the entire Season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Back to work today. Still congested and coughing as I work the last of the dreck out of my system, but not contagious.
    Ugh.
