Pointless Announcements

Made it through an intense meeting with a lot of finger pointing. I stayed calm and honest. Unlike others, but I saw a few with their necks turning red.

 

The kids are moving on with their lives. They still have their moments but are handling it well for the most part. They've yet to tackle the challenge of cleaning out their father's house but his landlady has told them they can take their time as she has no intention of renting it out again for quite a while. That will be the last big hurdle for them, I think.

My tap a talk is acting up

 

*lots of hugs* sounds like a tell-the-world-to-stuff-it-day

 

i just sent the manuscript to the series editor.
there will be a couple rounds of editing to go still.
but for a while, i don't want to think about the project.

i started working on it in 1987.
i hadn't looked at the dissertation since 2000.
i got the contract in april.
it took me a few weeks to remember what i was talking about then.
it took from mid june until saturday to redo/rewrite/make a new first chapter and intro.

this feels very strangely.

 

I want to read your book when it gets published.

 

Three labs (due at 10:00 tonight, 10:00pm tomorrow, and 11:59pm tomorrow), some homework assignments, and studying for an evening exam tomorrow at 6:00. All of this has to be done tonight. May whatever deities existing have mercy on me tonight.

 

Next time you have to fly, and the airline offers you a "Super-economy savings package", just fly coach instead- trust me.

So there is this guy I used to have a thing for YEARS ago. He was an older gentleman. I used to date his son. Yeah, it may have been because I couldn't date J.

He turned 61 today. He's always been 30 years older than me, but wow. That hit me weird.

 

This is one of those days where I hate this fucking place.

 

I suffer from the Impostor Syndrome. No doubt about it. Good to be even more of a stressed grad school cliche.
