All the signs were there. First, my Father would not acknowledge him. Secondly, he would only come to visit me on the weekends, so as not to exceed the amount of gas he allotted for himself per week. The final straw was his decision to seek the Lord. The nice thing was that this decision exonerated him from any future achievement or goal setting because God accepted him the way he was. Who needs a job, when you have the Lord! When he was baptized in the pool at the local YMCA and informed me that sexual expression was no longer welcome in this unmarried union of sin, I promptly directed him to kiss my premarital ass.

 

Not a fun moment but then "the only way is up". Wish you all the best.

PS: I have been waiting for someone to be immature and say "When the restraining order is served".

I should have known the time she walked out on me in a mexican restaurant complaining that I never think about her needs when I make plans. She said she doesn't eat cheese and this really offended her that I forgot.

We'd just had tacobell the night before.

Whatever happened to the "Greetings in the resurrected Christ" thread. That was funny as hell, even with the serious stuff.

 

The lord has ever been an excuse to be a sorry human being, no? Well, that's been my experience. He's also the go to guy to try to make you feel guilty about not forgiving someone who constantly screws you.

 

What Christians have you guys been hanging out with? cause that hasn't been my experience at all. Of course I do know a few preachers that try to sell Jesus like a door to door salesman. Sad really

Any who, This guy is obviously using his newly found belief as an excuse to cut himself off emotionally from any guilt or pain from life. sadly I have seen this far too often. It just happened to be Christianity, but it could have been any other religion or belief. My uncle used therapy, my father used his past. Whatever excuse they use. It won't work. you can't hide from the truth or how he really feels. Don't be surprised if he tries to call you in a few days saying he made a huge mistake and wants to see you again...do yourself a favor..hang up and walk away.

 

Late teens, my girlfriend at the time treated a shop assistant as though they were a lower life-form.
We had been getting on perfectly well for a few months, but this was a Harkonnen event, which pulled the heart-plug ot of our relationship and her good points suddenly became grey and irrelevant.

 

When every time he tells you he loves you you get annoyed.

Also, when you have sex with the SO and feel like you're cheating on your person on the side (who I'm now dating...). That was a pretty big eye opener.
