I realized indeed this is true after I made the comment, though in fairness the Sun is technically a newspaper.
For many years we had the Toronto Star delivered (several days late) to our home in Connecticut (as well as 2 other non-Cdn papers--talk about hamster cage!). The Star was less flashy than it is now and now that I'm long old enough to choose for myself, The Globe and Mail seems the best option. As you said, not a Toronto but a national newspaper.

It seems that Canadian newspapers are dying at less of a clip than their American cousins. And you are better off economically. Correlation?
