    There's some things that people will be infamous for.

    For me.. Phil was the true epitome of uncle - one of my best memories in my lifetime, is the 2 of us walking down the road in Rochester to get custard at the beach stand. Standing on the edge of the pier over Lake Ontario, and just talking about life. This was 2005.. since then we've always joked we are long overdue for another ice cream cone. Hopefully I can make that happen.

    hankster this is well spokened and something I have done for quite awhile. Some don't understand why, but that doesn't matter. It is who we are, and understanding that it's what makes us human. I remember hearing a good friend say "being close enough to hear our hearts beat". That is what it's all about, caring, feeling, and really given a little part of you to another in this world, always always cherish that for sure.

    @Everyone: Freetofly is the reason I hauled ass over here today. (I'm reachable through the link on all my posts.) I'm very grateful to her that she took the time to do so.

    Anyway Freetofly letting me know to get off my work horse and get over here is the advice she's giving put into action.
    There really is no time but now. That is all we have. Otherwise, it is a memory or a hope or dream for the future.

    Reading through this thread has been tear-inducing. It's especially hard to see the younger members coming to the conclusion that uncle phil, like every single one of us, will not live forever.
