Sir Maam? I've never been called that. Brings back memories of that salesguy who kept calling me "my darling". I still think he would've groped my ass, if I wasn't my size.

On another note: I don't know whether they deliver to your area in Sydney or whether you've already tried them, but make sure to order Crust Pizza one day.

They have this Mediterranean Lamb pizza and when you put the lemon juice on top... it will make your Lebanese tastebuds explode. Bloody delicious. Their other pizzas are also pretty good.

Here's hoping you're not one of those Sydneysider muslims who drive all the way to the Lakemba McDonald's to get their halaal burgers!

Bloody love the music in Sleeping Dogs. This aspect alone makes me want to pay Hong Kong another visit, rent a Lamborghini, get drunk and party hard in an overcrowded club full of Asians... and then find me some Triad members to randomly punsch/kick in the face. After which I better get the fuck back to Germany.

friday. dinner on a houseboat. later, i found myself trapped in a loop of steeleye span songs and could not get out.

saturday. i hung out at my friend liam's place. i made helpful decorating tips on how he could make his sun porch have that mexican bar vibe. got home late. i was just about to go to bed when a friend started messaging me about the end of his dysfunctional relationship. i am way too nice.

sunday. overnight my brain was replaced with a panel from dick tracy. all day i ran into the same people. they all had square heads and seemed to be looking for something. nothing else happened. so i got bored and repaired to my couch. now i am watching football. i do not care about football.

 

Electronic jazz music? Fuck yeah.

"sir maam"..... thats a typical filipino greeting. In dubai they greet both myself and she-lish with "hello sir maam" everytime i enter any shop that they run. its annoying, but you learn to ignore it after a while.

Crust pizza is the bestest pizza in town, hands down.

for the record, if halal is available, ill have halal. If its not, its not, and ill just eat whatever is there (except for pork of course). The beauty of living in DXB is that you can have "Beef Bacon" and its halal to. Triple WIN!

My in laws lived in Lakemba for nearly 20 years up until a few weeks ago. To be honest, since ive been back in Sydney, i think ive ventured onto the Haldon St stretch just once. Im not a Lakemba boy by any means, but i do live about 20 minutes away. In the last 10 years its become more populated with bangladeshis, indians, pakistanis and afghanis. You'd fit right in im sure

Hah, the Arab triangle of Auburn-Granville-Lakemba. I remember when I used to live in Ryde and my friend would take me to bloody Auburn to have pizza. "Imma show you the real pizza places in this town." Whatever, mate.

Yeah, don't lump us in with the South Asians. Given that we have trillions of dollars in natural resources and there's a long-winded military conflict in Afghanistan, we damn well deserve to be classified as part of the Middle East.

Much of South Asia/South East Asia is the world's Stupidville. Oh, and not even mentioning the fact that most Afghans are ethnically Persian/Arab/Turkish.
