    Used to watch The Lawrence Welk Show just for the music and still would if I had anything beside Netflix/youtube. Have been listening to Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Bunny Berigan, etc for at least an hour now.
    Matlock was cool to watch for the guest stars, Don Knotts on occasion, and that guy who decided it was more fun to be a Texas Ranger rather than work for a former small town sheriff turned big city lawyer.

    I think I may have over-stated the difficulty of the exams in this course. I mentioned the specific requirements. I gave them an intimidating-looking list of plants. I warned them that most people flop miserably. But I also told them that I will narrow down the list of plants they need to know and do everything I can to help them succeed. I even provided them with online picture flash cards.
    I have a truly unique group of talented students who do their absolute best on each assignment, striving for a better-than-perfect score. Yesterday I issued a challenge that gave each of them pause. I'm betting that with this kind of a response, this group of students will all do exceptionally well and blow away all records of past performance on the plant-ID exams. Either that or they will all drop.
