I see some topics about : Game of thrones, Breaking bad,...

Which series do you watch? Why are they good or what do you love about them?

Personally I watched or am watching :

Spartacus : lots of naked girls and blood, but a good watch!

Breaking Bad : love it! Very surprising story I believe (not the storychanges during the serie but the situation he got into)

Game of Thrones : very cool to watch, longing for next season!

Californication : oh my god, I love the humor of the 2 main male characters and I love the beautiful women who appear most of the time butnaked :p

Modern Family : only watched season 1, hillarious! Wanna see the other seasons as well...

Band of Brothers : must see! Some scenes really scare the crap out of you... if you're scared yourself watching what the actor goes true... it's good :)

Generation Kill : not as good as Steven Spielberg's Band of Brothers, but still a very good serie

True Blood : in the beginning i was like... hmm, vampires... but damn I love it! Especially Deborah Ann Woll :p

What else is out there? Any good? :)

I only make effort to watch Bones and occasionally the Vampire Diaries.

I'm thinking about watching Revolution this year, but I'm still on the fence. Guess I'll see what my school schedule is like first!

    Right now it is:
These are all on Netflix and I watch them sporadically or typically in longer rounds on my weekend.
Jericho - actually watching it for the first time now after I saw just the first episode or two awhile back.
Caprica - Just started on that one yesterday, might be a bit before I get back to it.
The new Battlestar Galactica - Current new episode for me is the season 3 opener.
Being Human - The U.K. series. I like this one but no desire to watch any of the US version.
Seaquest DSV - watched this when it first aired, it has aged fairly well.
edit: I have Bones in my instant que as well and am somewhere on season 2 I think.

I saw the first 30 minutes of the Breaking Bad pilot a few years ago, and liked it but never have gone back to it so far. Would be interesting to see how the character develops. I am curious what happens with his lung cancer or whatever the hell he had as the teacher character is still on the show and presumably fairly healthy still.

@speed gibson : forgot about Jericho, seen it. Good serie but there are better ones out there, but certainly not bad

Boardwalk Empire - It's directed by Scorsese. What else do I need to say?
Game of Thrones - It's more about the story than the character development in this one but it's still a good watch
Spartacus - The first two were decent...this last one sucked massive donkey cock. I won't be watching the final season
    Breaking Bad- pure brilliance
Band of Brothers - Loved it the first time I saw it on HBO and still pop the BRDs in to watch it because it's so good
The Pacific - Not quite as good as Band of Brothers but still great

There are more, I just can't think of them right now. I dumped Weeds a LONG time ago

Oh..guilty pleasure series? Burn Notice. I have every season on disc (6 due out soon) and season 7 starts in Nov. I'm really thinking it's time to shut the series down after 7 because it's just gone on long enough.

    Boardwalk Empire
    Game of Thrones
    Breaking Bad
    True Blood
Falling Skies - It started off good and shoewd much promise. I like it so far.

I haven't started on the upcoming seasons yet of all the shows listed above. I marathon them as soon as all episodes are out. I can't do that week to week thing, that suspension can kill man.

Sherlock (although I feel like it doesn't count, since the episodes are 90 minutes long, and it's a series in the British sense. However, it is awesome and everyone should watch it)
30 Rock (can't wait for the new season)
    Naruto: Shippuuden
    Warehouse 13 (getting caught up)

Hubby is watching Breaking Bad and I just can't really get into it.

I've never really watched a lot of TV. Of the series I have watched, I've enjoyed the following:

    • Game of Thrones
    • Battlestar Galactica (reimagining)
    • Louie
    • Big Bang Theory (at first)
I'm gravitating towards watching a lot more TV (which is scary), I think in part due to my being so busy lately that I've been too tired to read or even play video games (yikes!).

That said, I've most recently been hitting The Legend of the Seeker pretty hard. My SO picked up Netflix again, and the Canadian side has greatly improved since we last tried it a while back. There is a ton of stuff on there now, including this series.

At first, I thought the series was simply a guilty pleasure. I haven't read the books, but I knew it was a Tolkien-derived epic fantasy. It was just the stuff I was after: campy, cheesy, familiar.

But what can I say? I love it! It grew on me the more I watched it. Sure, it's not without its faults, but I'm really enjoying it. The production values are fairly decent for what it is, and they did a really good job casting incredibly hot women in all manner of roles. What's more is that they also did a fantastic job in makeup and wardrobe for said incredibly hot women. And I love the guy who plays Zed, the Wizard of the First Order. It's the same guy who was in two of the Mad Max movies, once as the Gyro Captain and once as Jedediah the pilot.

So I'm having fun with it. I'm on Episode 19 of 20 in Season One (of two; it was cancelled).

Oh, and I now have a mad crush on Bridget Regan, who plays Kahlan Amnell and fights with dual-wielding daggers whilst wearing a white, low-cut, flowing gown thing. And she kicks motherfucking ass. Hawt.

Oh, and: Mord-Sith. Just watch. You can thank me later.

One I can't wait for is SHAMELESS, Macy is just about the best choice for this character...this show is OVER THE TOP
and to think that FIONA is the girl who sang in the Phantom movie....great casting, great writing and a great show...

I used to, but it's been a couple years. Used to watch a lot of Dirty Jobs too. We recently got back into the Mythbusters groove for a bit, though.

Watching TV is my job, so I don't have as much time as I might like to watch what I want to watch. Currently I am watching:

    Girls
    The Newsroom

Otherwise, I watch a tonne of food television and lots of random content.

Are these all TV shows? I don't recognize most of them.
Sigh. This is what most party conversation are about.
