I made a shepherd's pie. It wasn't that good. Next time, I'm using Alton's receipe

 

Depending on the size, I eat more than one, as well.

It wasn't a good gourmet burger, but it wasn't a dinky McD's burger, either. It was a triple-patty with the works from Whataburger, and I'm sure there were fries involved. No beer, but a Coke.
It was my first triple-patty. It was an ordeal. An awesome ordeal.

Inducing random stoppages on yourself at the range with an empty casing? Well played.

 

Yessir! Except I was an idiot and ended up cutting my finger open while doing the same on my AR15. Looked like an idiot on the firing line with blood running down my hands.

 

I carry some napkins and couple Scooby Doo band-aids in my range bag for just that reason. Bleeding is annoying.

The overall best range injury, of course, is the hot-brass-between-the-tits you get from a SHBCGF with a GIBEBF.

I've already got two of those under my belt. With any luck, I'll have three by the end of the year.

Just this moment finished recording the final audio-book installment of George Eliot's Middlemarch.
I'm feeling a mixture of 'Yayyy Me', and also feeling quite shaken ... it's been a very long realtime first and third-person immersion in all these characters and their stories. A journey which I'm sad to end.

 

DJ'ing tonight with a good friend and his mate from Cape Town. Haven't played in over a month so I'm feeling a little rusty, but it should be awesome.
