I'm wondering how to keep people on task.

 

Uhhh.....I was JUST at a meeting where people, my boss and another higher up, kept going off course. If someone drank after every time I said, "Great ideas, but I'm going to steer us back to the task at hand," or, "Let me put this discussion back on course," they would be SHITFACED!

Apparently that's what they LOVE about me is that I keep them focused. It's also one of the many reasons I have a job interview tomorrow. Not that this new job would promise to not be as dysfunctional, but I'll be in charge more and will be setting the discussions. Thus they will stay on course. I hope.

 

I just lost three hours of my life to a Bengal cat forum trying to figure out if my cats were weird or fat. Not only have I learned that they are typical for the breed and not fat, I also now know that there are VERY strange people that take their cat camping and grind up baby bunnies to feed to their bengals. I learned that I am not a crazy cat person.

 

Fuck the sudden appearance of large-volume purchase orders with stupid delivery times. Fuck them all! *slaps the general who decided 2 months is better than 4 months*

And holy shit, SBS Asia is carrying a mental orgasm of a song right now. The melody is killing me.

 

*happy sigh* been a loooong time since I've had phone sex, and almost a year since any sex. Long distance relationships are tough, man. But, the bf and I got some time tonight for phone funtimes. Hehe. Nice to have that sexual rhythm back again. It was gone for quite awhile...

I had a PG dream involving ZombieSquirrel and the_jazz. Don't worry, it was just a talky dream.

 

Woke up this morning with no breathing problems. This hasn't happened since July 28.
I'm so happy about this that I'll be back in the gym in the next 24 hours!


Also, I stepped on the scale this morning and nearly panicked... trying to figure out how I gained that much weight in a few days. I've been eating well since I haven't been allowed to work out and had actually lost a few pounds so I was pissed at Angry Uterus for an extra 10 pounds... Until I realized that Max was standing on it with me.

He stood on it separately, too. 15.4 pounds.

 

She's still not going to like it. Unless by "talky" you mean that she was telling a firing squad to "fire".

 

On the cusp of Labor Day weekend! Yea!!! After a work week that essentially started on Sunday and has been nonstop since I do not care if it does rain all weekend. In fact, I am kind of looking at not doing a fucking thing except just lying around, watching the tube and having a few drinks. Headed out for a nice dinner tomorrow evening and then off to see some college buddies on Sunday. Rain or shine, I need three days of downtime. I just realized I've only taken 3 days off all year. Whew.

 

Problem is, he's only just shy of 15 months old and definitely NOT done growing. He's going to be huge. His primordial pouch is apparently a desirable thing.

 

Took an I.T. Certification this morning only to discover the two books I used to study for the test did not help me at all. And it was an amusing failure.

 

And interview #2 is over.
