Pointless Announcements

Since I am the only one awake, all the house monkeys have decided to converge on my personal space.
And I want to get up and make a pot of coffee real bad.
Damn naminals.

 

Mine tried that and met the wrath of The Spray Bottle. I have to go feed someone else's house monkeys, then get my trenta iced green tea with two splenda and the hubby's grande green tea soy latte with no syrup. I get a free bev at 'bux today...


But, why is the headache back now that I'm actually starting to feel better on my third antibiotic and allergy nose spray? No fairs.

 

i am not doing anything. my big objective is to put the files that are on my living room floor into the boxes they came from. then i shall return to not doing anything. i shall continue not doing anything for a duration the length of which is too much effort to determine. that is all.

Cool cause, though: a family is converting their farm to a drug rehab center.

In other news: finally closed on my re-fi. Only took those a-holes 4 months to provide paperwork with both my name and the numbers printed correctly.

Just drove 2 hours for my cousins wedding. Got the race recording on my dvr. Gives me something to watch tomorrow.

 

Yesterday at work, I received a phone call with the eternally confusing, yet all too common question: My dog has been pooping blood for three days. What can I give him to make that stop?

Here's what I always think (but never say) in response to this question: If you were pooping blood for three days, what would you do? I hope you say: cart my ass to the doctor or the emergency room.

I swear, people. Don't do these things. Animal physiology is not all that different from ours. There are no magic over the counter medications that will stop green discharge from the eyes or oozing sores or bloody stools. Sometimes you have to see a doctor. It's part of being a pet owner.

Sorry, was just thinking about this and wanted to write it down.

 

I'm getting Hitched... Can't think of a better way than to have a party at Fireside Inn here in Chicago - I gotta have bourbon at my wedding. It's only fair.

We'll narrow down the weekend in November as soon as we know when my bro is officially on Army leave.

For those in otherbook land .. we're still waiting to tell the boy's family before making the formal public announcement. Thanks for your discretion! I had to tell TFP because you guys are MY family.

Saw a job opening tonight for a full time food service position at the local hospital. Going to try, my timing might even work out for this but assuming nothing. My last job where I had 2.5 years of cooking for older residents/more temporary rehabilitation patients should count for something on this one.
