Is AI Porn a good thing?

I only started running across this phenomenon recently, being your typical sexually frustrated hetero male scouring the internet for images of women in various states of undress... but I'm not really sure about how I feel regarding images of women that don't actually exist.

I've heard one side that argues that these computer-generated images could help stop the exploitation of women (always a good thing), but I've also heard the other side say that it's going to put people out of work (not a good thing).

From my limited viewing, the images aren't 100% convincing. Close, but there's always something off, like the hands, or the skin tones. I've also seen images of things that are impossible, like women with very mature facial features (60 years+) but their bodies are closer to their 20's! (I guess there's something out there for every taste.)

I also wonder what effect this will have on the younger crowds; if they perfect this technology soon, the kids are going to have super-unrealistic expectations of what natural nudity is. (I imagine it's already a problem, but could get worse.)

    It goes both ways...

Yes. there "may" be benefits, but there often will be abuses too.

I think there should always be a watermark or other indicator. (even by law)

Because there are often people who use it to get $$$ from the viewers.
    It's not just for entertainment.

But you should always know the truth.
Then that at least, allows you the option.
    And you won't get catfished.

IMHO, I want real...that's a part of the fantasy for me. (ironic as that sounds)

I'll take real. I've never cared for implants, and gave up on unrealistic professional porn decades ago. I'm pretty sure AI won't appeal to me. I know what little I've seen was meh, but I doubt it was meant to appear real.

I'll give this a twisted turn...what about AI kiddie porn, snuff, etc? It would be disgusting, and probably legal.

Edit: Is putting some actors & others in the porn industry out of work a huge concern? What percentage of the workforce would be affected? No offense to those folks, they're humans who need work like the rest if us.

I read a discussion online elsewhere that one performer initially had no issue about her image being used, but then realized she didn't want to be seen doing certain acts which she found offensive. I totally understand.
